http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IoLaA-CVmTE&feature=player_embedded) Tim Willits confirmed that you get to keep all your weapons, old school FPS style. Also there's no loss of accuracy when hipfiring, unlike a lot of contemporary shooters like CoD. It's great that they're catering to their long time fans, aside from Deathmatch assholes.

my only dilemma is whether or not to buy it retail or on steam. It uses steamworks so either way i'll have it on my steam games list. But a 25 gb download with no confirmation whether or not we can preload is a bit scary. That and I think i'll forfeit the pre-order bonuses if i buy retail. choices choices...
EvaUnit02 on 30/9/2011 at 10:47
All first run copies should be the Anarchy Edition, with all the pre-order DLC. Just like all first run copies of Skyrim will be getting the cloth map. Neither are some lame specific retail chain exclusive.

I can confirm that the normally-priced retail PC version (in the US anyway) is the Anarchy Edition.

should be the same up here then, Wal Mart, here I come.
Volitions Advocate on 3/10/2011 at 23:54
apparently its being unlocked in 5 hours... Wal mart didn't have it on the shelves yet. So I got it on steam because i'm impatient. Figured it would be loaded by morning anyway.
Then it turns out I'm preloading it. Way to go Steam for dropping the ball on letting everyone know there was a pre-load... dorks.
It's exactly 21,592.5 MB in case anybody is wondering. Lets hope my 1.8 mb/s speed stays constant.

It would've been the publisher's failure to advertise the pre-load, not Valve's.

hurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Come on dude, if it hasn't unlocked, it's a fucking preload. Don't be fucking stupid.
And anyway load and preload are basically the same thing anyway, the difference is one you can play when it's done and the other you have to wait.

I didn't realize steam had to announce the methods by which their service works every single time a new game comes out.

TL;DR: Story sucks, characters are caricatures, graphics are amazing, gameplay is fun. Like every id game ever.
Multiplayer consists of car vs car battles (no gunning???) and coop Horde style gameplay.
10-12 hours of gameplay. Lots of minigames. You need materials and schematics to make customizations to your weapons.
