Call me a dumb fuck but why is everyone spergin about how awesome this is? all I saw was some communist vids, then a guy walking around an empty apartment and shooting for five seconds, and then some slow flycams through locations that dont look any more original or impressive than most modern games.
what ma I missing :confused:

The Moddb page has been phenomenally useless in actually telling me what the game is about beyond the usual post-socialist desolation (and, apparently, the Stalin angle, which could actually be interesting). There aren't even any screenshots of opponents or notes on a vague outline of the story, just scenery and more scenery. :confused: The peeling paint and the staircase are nice, though.

Aside from the fact that it looks as good as any modern game while running on 6-year-old software, it's atmospheric as fuck. Yes, there isn't much to tell about the story yet... but that's because it's not out yet.

It looks like its full of post-apocalyptic win is what Yakoob. The gameplay might be meh, the story might suck and it might not be as good as it looks but it looks great.
Source is great for that dystopian look.

I'm just digging my own grave here but, let's go...
No, I wouldn't say it looks as good as modern games. Hardly. Look at the staircase, it looks very blocky and polygonal compared to any other game coming out these days. The lighting isn't nearly as good (compared to crysis or Mirror's Edge or Stalker), the textures are ok but not spectacular. The HDR / bloom / glow is nice, not overdone but again, it's more of a standard these days.
Also I don't know about atmospheric. All we got is a one minute clip of a guy walking through an empty building that looks like something pulled straight out of HL2. I honestly don't get any atmosphere vibes.
