Wow, and open-source (no pun intended) to boot. I approve. It could have a decent little modding scene of its own.

So apparently they've switched over to Ogre and will launch it as a commercial game, oh-kay? Reportedly they're modding the shit out of Orge though.
If it turns out awesome then I'll likely pay full price for the game.
Ogre is just a graphics engine, so they'll do the rest, but its a pretty good and flexible graphical engine with all the bells and whistles.
opensource ftw!

Here's a pre-alpha video from a few days ago. They're using CryEngine 3 now.

Switching engines? Now that's reassuring.

Shut up Koki.

They seem to have been quite busy (although I guess indie mod/games can have 'vertical slices' in their trailers too)
Pretty fancy for unity though.

Why? Unity can be as cutting edge or as low tech as you want it to be.

I hear its performance isn't that fab on things like large areas and forests, especially in high gloss stylings. Not compared to Cryengine or something anyway. But who knows. There's no such thing as free lunch with any engine anyway. Spend enough time working with it I'm sure they could probably figure something out. (as it looks like they have)
