You need to quick save at that desk, is it a switch you pull or do you frob something else ?, I'm going from memory here, and you 'll be transported either to another room that looks the same or into the Burrick room. If you end up in the Burrick room quick load and pull the other switch. Keep doing this sequence till your in a room with the key on the desk

The secret is door in under the steps where you go up to the ladder

The 'gate' key to open your 'Grate' is on top of one of the bookcases in Montrose's quarters...but its not blue :confused:

sorry for the confusion earlier, but that puzzle where you go to the burricks is where most people get confused in this mission, thought that was what was going on here, wasn't trying to be funny

Ok there are 8 keys in this mission

1 .Prison key
2. weapons shop key
3. Priest's key opens door to priest's quarters..... found on hammer near where you came in
4. Montrose's room key.....................found on hammer o/s montrose's room
5. Footlocker key......found in one footlocker, opens another footlocker
6. key found on dead hammer in burrick area....opens door under steps, gives access to switch to open grate above
7. key found on desk in puzzle room, opens cash box to get chisel
8 Gate key, found on top of Montrose's bookcase, opens grill above lift to access exit area

There are NO other keys in the mission, according to your screenies and the keys i have in my inventory there is No blue key, but someone may have called it blue because on their computer screen that keymay have had a slight blue-ish tint to it, some keys in Thief are very definatly blue....none of these are

If you can't open the door in the burrick room its possibly because you copy of this mission is not working correctly, Apache would not have released this mission when you ended up in a room you could not escape from
