Random Giveaway: Bulletstorm/Mirror's Edge/The Saboteur (Origin Codes) - by Sulphur

Yep. These are good un's, if I may say so.
Starting off, Bulletstorm. If you have a sense of humour and aren't turned off by one-liners that are so earnestly crass that you'll find yourself laughing despite yourself (so you're obviously not dethtoll [and I maintain the levels of stupidity and juvenilia on show were meticulously calibrated for this reaction]), do give it a go. It's a great first-person shooter apart from the silliness. It's also one of the most accomplished examples of what UE3 can do when art teams aren't shackled to colour palettes made from swatches made from photographs of what happened in the morning to the chicken tikka kebobs they ate last night.
Mirror's Edge is a prototypical first person parkour platformer
designed by IKEA that plays bloody brilliantly. We wrote plenty about it already - here's Muzman's (
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=120121&page=23&p=1940236&viewfull=1#post1940236) take on it, and to round it out, ANTSHODAN's (
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=120121&page=25&p=2089969&viewfull=1#post2089969) less than pleasant experience, which generally happens if a game like this doesn't 'click' with you. It's not as fidgety as you might think, but the controls do take some amount of getting used to. Once you do get used to them, though, you'll find yourself in 'the zone', where everything clicks and you'll be executing jumps and ducks and disarms in fluid, liquid motion before you slip across the skyline like a greased cat sliding off a glass rooftop.
The Saboteur was Pandemic's last game before they shut; it's set around WW2 and features boobs and French cabaret. That's really all you need to know about it.
If anyone wants any of these games AND doesn't mind having to use Origin to download them (none of them are shackled to the Origin client, if you're worried about that), PM me and I'll send the key your way. First come, first served, ladies and gents.
EDIT: and all gone. Enjoy, VA, Al, and gunny!

Is the Saboteur redeemable on Origin now? The FAQ has always said it was, but I don't think anyone's ever gotten it to work.
Sulphur on 4/10/2012 at 20:28
Yup. Redeemed the last digital copy I bought in December '11 on Origin, so it stands to reason the newer one I have now should, too.

Weird, just tried again and it still doesn't work. What the hell.

Bulletstorm was one of the better FPS I've played in the last year. It is real quality, even if the script is fucking terrible. Also. Jennifer Hale? Sold.
I'll take the saboteur if you still have the key. I'll PM.

You're trying the key from your retail version, right? Dunno if that one'll ever work unless you get a customer support advisor on the case.
Far as I know, retail games released in 2009 and later are the ones that you can redeem.

If Bulletstorm is still available I'll gladly give it a home.

Yeah, and it's on the list of games that are redeemable.
Sulphur on 4/10/2012 at 20:48
Hrm. Weird. If you can get a chat on with customer support, they should be able to fix it.
