I'm pretty sure that in Return to Castle Wolfenstein it brought up a map-progress overview that obscured almost the entire screen. Not my idea of an elegant solution, though it did allow you to see how many secrets you had left to find.

Um, okay. I remember the stats now. Bad example. The Arx Fatalis one still applies, though. Even if you did have to click on it to load.

On the other hand in RTCW you didn't exactly need to go back and forth between levels. So this stats screen was more to also indicate the end of the current level.
