For those having trouble picking up t1/t2 on ebay...
For one thing, no point complaining about auction snipers. They're here to stay. I'm not disputing that it's annoying, but it is what it is. Nothing sucks worse than losing something that you really wanted by 1 stupid cent...
except, that is, paying more than you intended to.
Look, best bet is run a search on completed auctions and figure out an average for what the game goes for. Make that average your maximum bid. Make your first bid your maximum bid. If you don't get the item, big deal. Better to not get something at all than pay more than you were willing to.
Proxy bidding will ALWAYS be faster than auction sniping. Always.

Yeah, that's what happened to me a couple of weeks ago when I tried getting a copy of Anachronox, although when I put in my last minute bid (last minute because I was outbid in the dying minutes for PC Gamer magazines a while back), it said someone outbid me by a measly 25 cents, yet I checked and it said this guy's bid was several hours before the auction closed, and when I checked the highest bid with less than two minutes to go, it was a completely different amount. Wierd, unless I'm missing an unfortunate discrepancy in how EBay displays a highest bid.
Too bad you don't live in Winnipeg; last week I saw a used copy of Thief Gold in EB Games for 15 bucks.

Don't know why you think it neccessary to comment constantly. If you don't have problems, then this thread is obviously not for you. Apparently there are people whio have problems getting it.
Jeez, one might think that people can actually read and deduce what a specific threads audience is targeted at.

You are one serious fool.
Not a single person in this thread has expressed any difficulty in purchasing anything other than Thief Gold. And why would they? Thief 1 and 2 have never been out of print, and can be picked up for chump change.
For a person who repeatedly insists that other people read through threads before replying, you do a rather poor job of actually doing that yourself.

Which of course evades the point why you feel the need to post useless drivel on a thread you are apparently not even interested in.

Uh, what? Which bit exactly was "useless drivel", and given that I've actually attempted to assist people in getting Thief Gold, what leads you to believe I'm "not interested" in this thread?
Or are you just doing your Captain Illogical Response act again?

That is ebays way of automatically upping your bid so you only pay a bit more that the next person in order to win.
