Holy crap! This is the best I've ever seen! This is the best "Real Spider-Bot" thread, too! No old hat here, folks! Thanks Yandros, sorry I ever doubted you. Much better than I've seen from the Honda robotics people. I hope they got that control system patented.

Is it just me or is that thing creepy!?

Outstanding. :eek:
It gives me the creeps though. At moments, I see 2 people cut in half : their legs continuing to walk without the rest of the bodies. :cheeky:

It's creepy, then it gets creepier. The way it was lifting it's forelimb from the snow like it didn't like how it felt, when that's not what was happening at all made it too easy to project emotion onto. Watching it stumble really hard, yet stay upright was like a mini-drama.

*Creepy*...........:erm:
Its also the noise that thing makes, which adds to its creepiness. Ingenious. Sounds like a fly, that I wanna swat.

It was pretty creepy on the ice, too. It kept it's balance, but seemed rather freaked in a human-ish way. Slap a gold mask on and BAM! You got some plant-hating bots right there. I also think it's creepy how it looks like a real animal that hasn't eaten for a while because it has no head...

The big dog is very impressive, particularly the way it can recover its footing. But as far as spiderbots goes you guys obviously haven't seen this;

best part is it was made by a guy in his back shed, from off-the-shelf parts
