well, humans tend to be like that, and, as much as I don't like it, I am a human, so I would definitely have a tendency to be stupid and judgmental. but, I know he had a tendency to get into messes easily - and while there is nothing really wrong with that, he still could have a bit of decency and spare his mother the sight of his brains splattered all over the place.

Am I misremembering you being nearly deaf? Anyway I learned sign thirty years ago because I was friends with a deaf couple so I only knew of the school and not any renting of dorms. Having lost touch with them and with nobody to practice with I doubt I could carry on a decent conversation anymore. A lot of my signing at the time had substitutes of spelling out words rather than the single sign.
And sure folks, suicides aren't thinking clear, but I understand the anger as well. Nothing hurts worse than the loss of a child and in suicide the self recrimination is well neigh unbearable. You want them back and they have denied you that forever. You don't even have the chance to help them. Maybe you never did. You'll never know now though. All you have after the grief steps (of which anger is one) is thinking how old they would be now and what they would have done with the promise you know they held. And just missing them really bad sometimes.
