Anyway I was thinking in terms of relative accessibility, if he wanted to push the envelope some down the road. She might get into that like she wouldn't for Gears or War, Halo, or Call of Duty. But yeah it does pander some too... Some of the others I mentioned were a bit better on that front.

Lots of really good suggestions.
I'll keep in mind some of the more advanced ones if she decides to get into gaming a bit more - maybe when we're living together and she has access to my PC rather than just her modestly specced laptop. Slow-moving, narrative-focussed games with light puzzles suit her best for now, but clearly there is room for expansion.
