Really? I had it for my PS2 the day it shipped, (PS2 is long gone), and last year re-bought it for Xbox 1. I really like it. I never finished it on PS2, but I finally did on the Xbox. I like the game more and more as it progresses. The game just gets better and better the further you get. Story improves, levels improve, missions, you name it.

Wow, this looks ambitious and awesome. The sandbox also seems jam-packed with potentially fun and interesting stuff to do (unlike fucking GTA4).
It's a shame that this isn't coming to PC, it would've looked ace. Maybe a port will be released a few months later?

Whoa! The radio stations in Vice City were pretty much the high point of my interest in Rockstar titles, but this looks pretty fucking promising!
As for the port issue - I don't remember, wasn't GTA4 advertised as console exclusive at first? Or was it always supposed to get a PC release too?
EvaUnit02 on 17/12/2009 at 01:47
Yeah, that was the case with GTA4. But unlike with that game where a port was inevitable, there's complete uncertainty here until an official announcement.
Also why haven't you played Vice City Stories? The radio stations eclipse the original game soundtrack wise.
Ostriig on 17/12/2009 at 02:03
Odd, I admit, but I've never played any GTA. I'm familiar with Vice City from back when we used to go over to a friend's, and while I loved the radio and copied a couple of the tracks, the game itself never clicked that far with me.

That most recent trailer is one of the first times ever (I'm not exaggerating) that a trailer made me very interested in a game that previously I'd been indifferent to. IMO Rockstar is one of the most interesting, most accomplished companies when it comes to pulling together gameplay, world building and storytelling into a coherent whole.
mothra on 17/12/2009 at 08:48
I think that's more subjective then anything. Vice City was the high point for Rockstar imo, each following GTA got worse with GTA4 imo having the greatest problems marrying "serious" storytelling with juvenile action genocide gameplay and boring social minigames. It's just good for running over pedestrians but for that it's very good. But that's me, millions of GTA fans will disagree and while I see this as another chance of redemption (haha) for rockstar they will see it as just "another" stellar title from them.......seeing it is the same engine (even same HUD) as GTA4 though I fear for the same lowpar PC port as GTA4 got. Damn, I would defenitely like to capture some outlaws on my PC.

Last good Rockstar game was The Warriors.

Nah, Bully was mint.
CCCToad on 17/12/2009 at 15:10
I've actually heard Bully was a pretty good game, and the story was actually focused on some good themes(about a troublemaking kid standing up to bullies and finding his niche) instead of Rockstar's usual degenerate tripe.
