Regarding Voice Actors.

Just wondering while sipping my good dark ale....regarding voice actors, is there any way that us mappers who love the original feel of the game club could together and hire Stephen Russell to do some comments for use in our missions...we could make up a huge database of new comments.
I wouldnt mind shelling out a few quid to get something juicy like this.:D:D

Stephen has said that he would not be comfortable voicing any characters related to the Thief world because they're owned by Eidos. Even if it was for a fan project for free.

When was the last time he was asked? Could his views on this have softened over time? He was not chosen for the Thief4 Garrett, perhaps he no longer feels any obligation.

I imagine his agent and attorney would make sure he didn't do something like this, even if he had softened to the idea.

He's also a pretty busy guy these days, recording voices for both Dishonored 2 and Underworld Ascendant (and probably System Shock 3 too). I'm guessing he wouldn't want to step on any toes that would ruin his chances for more real actual paying jobs like these.

That's a shame...hopefully when the code for Thief 2 is released into the pubic domain he might feel different.
