Then, something is wrong because I have read that scroll twice now and still have not triggered the first objective. Went back to the hermit and clicked on the potion again to see if anything would happen. Nada. I seem to be stuck here forever?:weird:

Hmmm! I'm reasonably sure that is one of the things that's supposed to trigger it, but I could be wrong. Hang on and I'll load up the mission and see if I have a save at the right spot to check it.

I loaded up the final version and ran through to the Keeper Area. I was right. [SPOILER] There are two ways to trigger get the first objective of "Find out who killed you" to tick off. One is to read the scroll behind the bed where you find the lever. You get a new objective and right after that, the first objective should tick off. You can also do it by reading a book sitting on the table in one of the rooms. If you leave the bedroom, go into the bar, out onto the walkway, past the archer and down that passageway, you'll end up in the room where the book is. [/SPOILER]

I have no idea why it's not working for you. I did something to mess it up during the beta, I forget what, but whatever it was, it was fixed before release. Sorry! I wish I could be more help.

Must have a glitch because I had read that book also. Was wondering why the third objective that starts "So, it was Keeper Thomas behind it all......." was ticked off but not the first objective asking one to find that info out. That's o.k. Have really enjoyed this mission, especially the transporting gems. Great idea! Will be sure the next time I do this mission not to read either of those books until the first objective gets taken care of.

I think you misunderstood me. You need to read those books to get the first objective to tick off AND then get the new objective. It seems as if it's partially working for you, because you got the new objective, but for some odd reason, the first one isn't ticking off at the same time.

At some point I got the new objective and it was ticked off. But the original never got ticked off. Hence, I don't think I can finish the game.

I'm a little late to the party but I just finished playing this one on Hard and Expert. Great job Schwaa! I really liked the new models.

I'm about 800 shy of the max loot in Expert but since I think I'm down to shimmying up every tree in the forest to find the rest, I'll let it go. I did complete the nice guy objective which got me wondering about other bonus ones. I peeked into the goals string file (I usually do this after completing a mission) and saw the one about the pagan and the doll. I've already found the item in question but does anyone know how to activate this objective? Perhaps it's available in Normal only?

I need a quick answer please. I'm not able to use my sword or
blackjack. I'm able to draw them, can't see them but can hear
the noise, can't hit anyone. They were working when I first started
playing the game. Is this a known bug?
