(
http://biz.yahoo.com/prnews/051005/law059.html) They made a sequel...
"...a war-torn Germany...Nazi experiments with technology and the supernatural...world of unmatched exploration, action, and espionage..."
Sound familiar?

I happen to like the Wolfenstein series very much, thanks.
And I'm not at all surprised to hear that id is milking one of its big cash cows again. Good for them, I say. I was well pleased with the latest iteration of Doom.

I liked the game too. I used to watch a friend play Wolf3D when I was little. I think thats where I got an interest in gaming....
Sorry if you felt offended. That last bit does seem like I was making fun of it.

Well, no. I was commenting on the original "You people 'hated' this game..." title. I didn't hate it, myself.

Serious business.

Right.
There, fixed. Hopefully all is well. Do not know what I was thinking.

Don't forget that id's making an entirely new IP right now... We have Quake 4, Enemy Territory: Quake Wars, Castle Wolfenstein and the new IP. A good list for just one company.

There was (
http://www.shacknews.com/onearticle.x/38938) a post on Shacknews indicating that it'll all be one huge area rather than individual levels. I am now very interested in this game.

Nice one. I loved Wolf3d, my map-making career started with the good old MapEdit. :D The music was fabulous and it was a lot more fun to play than most of the modern first person shooters. (I played Spear of Destiny about two years ago and still liked it)
Return to Castle Wolfenstein was alright but the undead levels were just silly. The old Wolf3d was just a simple "shoot everything that moves" game... the new one tried too much and failed to impress me.

Oh man wolf3d was the game that started my adiction to good first person games. I have played wolf3d, the sequel spear od destiny and return to castle wolfenstein. All excellent games in my humble opinion. Definately room for improvement though.
