Some huge objects disappear when partially out of view because their center is no longer visible
Is there a way to make an object to be rendered always,
even if the center is not visible to the player?
I made a custom skybox object because the 'Newsky' can't bring up the quality i need
of course i can chop my skybox into parts and place them on needed places,
but this question is a good challenge anyway :sly:
so, what can we do?

You can do pretty good quality skies. Look for Vigil's sky box. The pics are usually a rainbow sunset but changing the alpha can make them very dark and different looking.
Using objects for sky will never look as good imo.

You need to move the model away from it's center in the 3D app. In other words, don't center the model in the app.
Do it like this...
1) Center the model in your app.
2) Copy and paste it.
3) Place the pasted model directly above the centered model.
4) Delete the centered model, and voila!
If you still have problems, experiment by placing the model in the app, in other positions. (I had loads of fun with this for my Island object, in my Lighthouse FM) :joke: :p

my "distant art" model has 16000 polygons split to several objects
lots of 3d houses, towers, bridges.... and more is following
i got inspired by the background from Cosas mission X which is just painted
(nice job Cosas team, it looks very good)
EDIT:
i got the problem solved, more info will follow in a new thread
but i tell you here already: Dromed 2 NewSky is OUT
the new system can use INFINITE resources:
celestal objecs, 3d model distant art, clouds and even animated [jointed] objects...
and it is full compatible with given NewSky settings

Point me to that thread, please

It looks like the thread was never started. It was not meant to be. If you explain your problem in more detail, someone may be able to offer a solution. E.g. TypeRED only started using big objects because of the texture size limit (256 x 256), which is now much higher (4096 x 4096).

I've got the impression TypeRed 'invented' a new sky system. As he did with his arcade game (this was fun, wasn't it?).
