Player is f'ing clueless. Using widescreen so the whole deal is stretched. I'd be embarrassed to put this on a gaming website.
It's nice to see people appreciating the old game but jeezz.

I'm afraid to watch. Is the player competent enough, or at least funny when not? Are instructions and hints being noted and applied, or at least rejected knowledgeably?
Anyway, regardless of that, I hope the viewers who've never played the game before don't think it's as stupid as an incompetent player can make it look.

That was painful to watch.

Newbies playing. :/ Actually, funny.

I'm 20 mins in and it's been fairly excruciating so far. Not because they are clueless players but because they have no real understanding (or desire to understand) the game mechanics. It's not a replay really, that's a misnomer..they seem to be playing for the first time.
'being coddled feels really good'. Heaven forbid a game makes you think a little. ugh.
'splinter cell is a lot more accessible'. ugh.
No clue about moss arrows etc. Not exactly flying the flag for game journalism are they.

To this day, LGS continues to get the last laugh as the newbie runs into the good old bug halo at 22:38 and gets zapped for a few hit points. And then a zombie sneaking up on him. LOL Classic, classic stuff.

I'm not surprised to read what's in these comments. All too typical. Dang, just once, could they show the game off, and not give everyone more excuses to fix what isn't broken? It's like how TV news shows bring in an "expert" who sounds ludicrous, to make their falsehoods sound more believable in comparison. They do the series a disservice. And I'll bet they would join the majority who don't know what we mean when we call games "dumbed down".

Here's a really good (
http://joemartinwords.com/2013/03/17/thief-the-distort-project/) replay, in article form. Joe Martin revisitst Thief:TDP and analyzes it's strengths and weaknesses. I agree with what he says about the weaknesses. I prefered Thief 2 to Thief 1 precisely because it stuck more to simply giving you stealth-focused levels instead of trying to do something fancy with every other level.
