..Last night and i found the Calendra vs Brimstone showdown never happened. Brimstone started his lines. Lady C was a total no-show. Also some of the items in the shop could not be frobbed/bought.
Possibly something is wrong with my setup or maybe some of the mission FX don't like 1.19 or something..(?) Anyone else had this happen?
Anyway..just saying. (And it's still a great mission after all these years)

Did you use the new FM installer (the one built-in with 1.19, FMSel?)? Way I hear it (and I think I've confirmed thru testing), it's not very good about installing .GAM files. Open up the original zip and see if it has any files you're lacking in your thief directory.

Hope adding my 0.02 to a 2 month old thread isn't too bad on the necro scale but I've noticed an anomaly with CC and 1.19 that makes it insolvable on Expert. It's one I do not recall in vanilla. Everything was mostly working in my case, no broken arrows on my end. The showdown as mentioned was glitched but it resolved itself (specifically, Calendra was initially a no-show but she walked from the desk she was at earlier in the level to the vault, and everything proceeded as I had remembered from vanilla TG from there).
However, I was unable to complete the mission as I was not able to break into the art collector's safe. While I am aware on how to open it having played CC a few years ago to completion, for some reason no matter what number I put into some of the combination slots, the "unlocking lights" (lack of a better term) on the display did not light up. For example, on the first two columns of the combination lock, I would cycle through 1-5 and see if the lights on the safe turned on to indicate successful decoding (and yes I did hit the "enter" button). Never, on either of those two columns, did they cause the status of the lock to change. However the other three columns worked normally, at least for a time; the fourth column also failed after a few resets.
Observing the structure of my FM folder, it appears that the structure internally is the same at it was in the zip file, so the built-in FM selector was successful in installing the FM, apparently.

That had worked for me in my install of newdark TG about 2 months ago while I was testing it.

Huh. Odd, I've used a fresh TG install since getting Newdark online. To be fair, TG itself isn't behaving perfectly with Newdark either, but I haven't had to scuttle a FM run with the updated engine until now. Doesn't matter since I've beat it fair and square before but its a little annoying.
If anyone wants to look at the save, I'll happily throw it up for perusal. Not that it's likely to lead to anything, but I'm more than happy to provide one never-the-less.

Replaying this with TFix v1.16 (NewDark v1.21) and I've found a few things odd. Installed with Darkloader 4.3 btw.
First, the spiders in the observatory are stuck. They don't seem to fit in the holes they're supposed to patrol through, and one is on the wooden ramp, where I don't think he's supposed to be.
Also, when taking Adrius' head from the chest, he doesn't make the big howl that used to alert everyone. He also doesn't say anything about the dried frogs. Haven't played any further, but I'll post updates here as I find out more.

Played some more and things definitely aren't right. Guards are stationed in the wrong spots even. Just tested with TFix 1.10 (most recent prior to NewDark) and everything is like it should be. Adrius howled, the observatory spiders are patrolling and guards are in their proper spots. I tried with a fresh install running TFix 1.16 and 1.17, both with the same buggy result. Gonna restart with v1.10 for sure. Just wanted to let people know.

I think that most people would be wise to have dual installations of both TG and T2 so you can use the pre-NewDark versions for the older missions. That way you don't have to worry about running into things like this. It's simple to switch back and forth in Darkloader. Thanks for reporting what you've found though as that way, people will be forewarned that there are major issues with this one in NewDark. :thumb:

Here is how it played out for me:
* Spiders in abservatory attic got stuck, sometimes in a wall hole, sometimes up on the ramp (spider was trying to walk into the wall). However, they have sometimes done that for me even on a "vanilla" install.
* Some missing sounds from Brother Adrius, the initial scream and "put me down!" and then later all the instuctions that you should go to the observatory and get the Summoner's Stone, plus his hints about where the body parts are (pretty damn important info for a first-time player!).
The sounds that did work were all the stuff he says when he is crawling around ("party, party", "gonna need a dried frog", etc), and the sounds when he gets the frog, the phrases from "Ah, that's better" to "help me and I'll help you"
* Lady Calendra was not teleported to the shrine staircase, but she walked to it after I had walked down long enough to trigger Brimstone's initial movements. I think this way is actually cooler than the original (but you have to pretend that the fire shot that startles Brimstone is a trap or something (since Lady C. is not there to throw it)).
I could buy all the stuff in the shop (I tested this). Note that there are two items that you can not yet afford (so they do not highlight) if you go to the shop with just the 500 gold store credit.
Guards were in their usual spots (as far as I can remember) and the safe worked fine. If the combo lock does not work, I think you can still blow it open with the explosive charge.

After a few tries I got all the comments from Adrius except for the first scream. Heard the frog comment and got all the instructions about the stone and his body parts. Haven't played any further but will keep posting.
Has anyone tried Calendra's Legacy in NewDark?
