one of my friends always liked the look of the thief games but couldnt play the first two because of their arachnaphobia, is there a mod, or a set of fan missions, that recreates it without spiders, or with spiders replaced with like, rats or smth that bite u, instead? and if not, would anyone here be able to make it given enough time?

I'm sure that I heard about such a mod for T1-2. Never used it myself, so can't give a link.

There are two mods that do something to remove/change the spiders. The (https://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=148791) T1/T2 No Spiders patch was published in 2018 by vfig while the (https://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=148517) T1/2 Spider Hider was published near the end of 2017 by Tafferwocky. Click on the links to reach the appropriate thread.

I did not use any of these patches, so I can't say anything about them.
