I'm in the second mission where you have to break Cutty out of the Hammer prison and each time I reach him he dies on me saying something to the tune of his lungs rotted away. Anyway the first time I went through it I tripped an alarm or something, it was this guard post outside cell blocks 3 and 4. I thought cause I tripped the alarm they just offed him but then I tried it again and I didn't trip the alarm and he still died. I'm also running this on normal setting and on hard and expert it speciffically tells you to escape with him so does that mean that on normal he always dies or am I screwing up somewhere? thanks in advance. This is a great game so far.

Cutty dying is part of the mission. When he kicks the bucket your objectives should update to reflect this.

Ah, thanks for clearing that up. I was just curious because next to the find and release cutty objective I had a big red x and I though hey now I did find the guy didn't I? Well at least it's taken care of. Thanks again.

It pissed me off, greatly. I'm not too big a fan of zombies/undead, so I literally ran past all of the zombies on the ground floors, and killed a few on the upper floors only to get to ladders and such. Otherwise I left them be.

You should try the alternative some time: Lure them into the path of the fire trap at the top of the big ramp. Zombie bits everywhere!

Yeah I did that by accident a few times. I was like fire-spitting-thingamabob you're my new best friend. Also, through my travals through the catacombs and such I ran into golden bones. I collected them thinking i'd need to arrange them into some skeleten to get the harp but I never needed them. Are they important for some other objective on the harder skill levels?
