I'm working on three modified OMs, so the EAX were already present. I'm not willing to mess with EAX anymore, so I was resetting them to "unset" with the reseax.cmd (thanks to R Soul), which has the command "set_room_type -1"
This worked with Dromed 1.18, but it's not working in v.1.21.
Even if I type said command manually, the monolog says:
WARNING: invalid room type specified for set_room_type
All I was able to do was setting all the rooms to 0 (generic) with the command eax_set_archetype.
The question is: is there a way to have all rooms in a mission reset to "unset"?

I know this is a dumb idea but would it be possible to change the key bindings so that Ctrl-F1 makes rooms as unset or -1? I'm not at home ogr else I would test different ideas.

I'm not sure what you mean, but I already tried to cheat with the menus.cfg, by changing the 0 to -1. No success, the monolog keeps on saying I that's an invalid command.

Make sure that your EAX is enabled in the options menu. OpenAl is enabled in the audio options menu by cycling through your Hardware acceleration options,and requires that OpenAl is installed on your system.
If you have problems with OpenAl try"snd_oal_device Generic software.
Find an fm with working EAX first, and troubleshoot from there. EAX can only be set if your system enables it.

The room types can be changed without having EAX enabled, and she doesn't want EAX on her mission. :)
What if you multibrushed just the room brushes and load them into an older dromed?

I just did a simple test and unset and Generic sounded the same.

Apart from the fact that the system I'm working on doesn't support EAX. The irony of fate, I bought a used pc just for dromeding, and a few months later NewDark was released. My usual luck. :rolleyes:
I have another, more powerful pc (EAX included), but I prefer to non use it. Too long to explain.
I think I will keep the generic settings after all. This mission is giving me enough headache, there's the risk to mess everything. Thanks everyone for the interest. :)
