Umm... mouse support patch. That WOULD be helpful. And I was using ctrl for run as for ingame when it had reverted to enter. Dufus I am. Will give it another go. I'm still killing most everyone in an area by backing into a doorway while they line up and hacking away except for the chainsaws and pitchforks of course.
First, you install the official patch which adds colour lighting.
Second, you install unofficial patch that replaces textures with hi-res GameCube ones.
Third (and most important), you install unofficial mouse support patch.
Fourth, you reassign control to what I wrote in the previous post. It's convenient because often you have to press either 5+6 or 1+3 combo, and it's Q+E or LMB+RMB appropriately, also 180 turn is simple - S+RMB, as well as reloading - E+RMB.
Fifth, you enjoy the game ;)
To save ammo you want to shoot at their feet, and then use knife while ganado is lying, repeat. Or you may use shoot in the face and kick combo - it's great for make some distance when they are to close. Grenades are very helpful too.

Yeah, I liked RE 4, I had it for GameCube the day it released. It was a hell of an action game, but was not really a Resident Evil title at all. I thought RE zero and RE-Make were the best RE titles.

Ugh, RE0, thanks for reminding me of that. I enjoyed it when it first came out but now I can't play it, it's just too damned irritating.
REmake on the other hand...

I like REMAKE for the ability to stuff grenades in the zombie mouths.

And then they go off, taking other zombies' heads with them.

Well, of course! That's the fun of it! ;)

Sorry if I am thick, but is a PC version coming?
