I really hope that is true.

I'm in chapter 5 now and I think those 9.0 reviews are exaggerated, or authors haven't played RE 4 for more than 1-2 hours. It may deserve something like 8.0 but I haven't seen/read any reviewer complaining that 2/3rd of locations in RE 5 are actually copy-pasted from RE 4 with better texture resolution - swamps, mines, caves, underground temple (Incas treasures and a temple in the middle of Africa, wtf? :weird:). It's gives you fun, especially when playing co-op, but it certainly doesn't deserve 9.0. Anyone who played and finished RE 4 will feel cheated, IMO.

All three games will be optimized for the PC platform and will have new PC-specific features added to the already great games.

Is there any trick I've just not found for those?

RE4 was the first and only RE game I ever played because I am about as useful with a game controller in-hand as a blind, paraplegic with an IQ of 6.
Thanks to the Mouse-Aim Patch I found, I played it and fell absolutely in love with the game (and not too little with the main character, Leon....rowwwr)
Anxiously awaiting the next installment :cheeky:

MsLedd, other games in the series don't require controller, keyboard is just enough for them. They are more adventure/action type, while RE4 and RE5 are action/adventure. If you can find them, you may want to try RE Rebirth (gorgeous remake of the very 1st RE every fan should play) and RE Zero (prequel) for Nintendo GameCube via Dolphin (emulator), both are emulated very good. Original RE1 and 2 for PC are already too outdated graphics wise, you also can try RE3 PC it looks a bit better than the first two. Rebirth and Zero still look beautiful.
PS: I hope you installed official patch and hi-res texture mod for RE4 additionally to the mouse aim mod?

Fuck RE0.
REmake is the best RE game ever though.

I have been playing RE4 on the PC for the first time too, the past few days. I've tried most of the games in the series over the years but have never finished any, so this will be the first one I do finish. While RE4 does have some serious faults I've been enjoying it a lot, and now I'm looking forward to RE5 so much more than ever.
