These really shouldn't have been necessary. I mean, who the fuck ports a game to the PC without mouse support? Crashes I can deal with, the PC is a varied beast and trying to accommodate for all builds is a nightmare, but every singe PC on the face of this earth has a mouse ffs.
This is very true. That said, the mouse patch really does make the game suck a lot less cock.

I asked my bro if I should buy this game and he said wait till it's cheap. He played it on 360 way back when it came out. We're both horror fans and like the older games. He told me it's really short and somewhat disappointing overall. He said you can beat the game in < 10 hours. Uhg. It took me over 20 hours to beat RE4.... And I'm not sure I'm ready for more zombies at $50 yet.
So I'm waiting till it's cheap. :)

I played through a good deal with the mouse mod, but in the end it just got too aggravating for me to continue. The problem is that the mouse still feels jerky and unresponsive, which fucks over a game that relies on precision aiming.

Man, it's easier than PS2 version f.e. where you aim with Dualshock. The game is just harder than standard PC shooter, you should make certain efforts to beat it.

The Wii version is how the PC port should've been. An enhanced port of the uncompromised Gamecube original, the PS2 extra content (Separate Ways is a high quality expansion, what Assignment Ada should've been.), plus the superior aiming.
Daftly the sniper rifle controls still uses analogue stick aiming, that's the only downside though.

The game is amazing, I'm impressed. Then again, I LOVE RE4. That's what RE4 fans who tired to replay RE4 over and over waited for; revised (partly for better and partly for worse) RE4 with new maps, monsters, bosses, story, and gorgeous graphics. I enjoy every second of it, and surely will replay it many times to get all those bonuses and unlockables. The port is excellent :thumb:

RE5 Director's Cut Version Featuring Jill ?Quote:
Unwired are on a roll with the recent string of Resident Evil related interviews. This time they talk to Patricia Ja Lee, voice actress for Jill Valentine in Resident Evil 5. Around the 7 minute mark Ja Lee mentions recording new things for a "Director's Cut" version of the game.

i would rather think DLC than Director'sCut ... there are no different versions of the game...
oops, just read about the six-axis. let's hope there will be a free download for the PC 'cause I consider buying RE5 (it's dirt cheap, gotta love capcom)

Why should it be free? They're going to release Director's Cut version in February for PS3, it will feature new contents, not just tiny improvements here and there and support for PS3's motion controller. I have no doubts the DC will be sooner or later released for 360 and PC, but it won't be free for sure.

new content as in.......????
I suspect a DLC sized map / little level "what Jill did after.....spoil/spoil", the thing other devs give away with the multiplayer patch......but yeah, what was I thinking........after-sales support and goodies for free........outrageous,
