What the fuck is going on here? I don't want to hunt around so if somebody has a 15 word or less synopsis it would be appreciated....been at the heavy beer for a time now.
At any rate....BD....stick around...you're cool.:thumb:

Biker's depressed, something mysterious (to us) has got him down. A final straw was placed across his burdened back and he snapped. He went off on those he felt were responsible for the final straw as though they were responsible for the personal and unspoken burden weighing most heavily. He has decided to not only slam the doors on TTLG and crawl away, but to give up Thief cold turkey. His displaced anger has come across as a whiny over-reaction, and although he's been mocked for it by those who like to kick a man while he's down, most others have tried to console, reassure, dissuade him from his rash decision, and encourage him to just take a much-needed break and chillax.
Not at all fifteen words, but then again, I don't speak Intoxicated.
I can speak Hulk-ish:
"Biker sad. No more Thief for Biker."

If those games go anywhere, you better send them to me for safe keeping! That way I can send them right back to you when you are ready to play again. ;)
I had the same thought pav - he can send them to me though, I'm a helluva lot closer than you are. :)
The trouble with what's happened is that the rest of the Thief community at any rate will suffer from his absence. I know there are many others who help in Tech and Troubleshooting but he was there every day and you could pretty much guarantee you'd get an answer within a day. And it wasn't just there that he helped - voice acting, testing, etc. etc.
And his kindness and generosity has made it possible for me to play many fms that I couldn't before. I won't forget that.

Here is a suggestion: Donate those retail copies of T1, TG2, T2 and T3 to either Shadak, Brethren oder redface as prizes for the 10th anniversary competition.

Was anybody able to send him their mailing address before he cut off his PMs and email?

Don't take his games, what's wrong with you people?
Hey Bikerdude, toss them into a closet or something. I've read the thread, there's no reason to go that far.

I see.
Apparently Jashin not only thinks that it is wrong to do what Bikerdude asked of us, but somehow feels that his own suggestions are superior to the wishes of Bikerdude himself.

Evening
After being bombarded with emails, some of which were heartfelt, some of which were from people we all, respect and admire in the community.... I shall belay my abscondment.
Lastly everyone that replied to this thread and the other, and those who emailed me - you have my warmest heartfelt thanks. I will be keeping my games, but will be donating my spare copy of Thief Gold to the prize cache for the Classic contest as I originally intended to do.
Apologies to those who I had initially promised the games to :o
