Hi, i've been playing Thief gold sonce i just get it last month, and currently im on return to the cathedral, well it brought me memories of my days playing Dark Project and that creepy feel i use to felt with those voices and sounds hehe.
Anyways the original objetives says "Grab the eye" and "leave the cathedral" but once you grab the eye the doors get sealed again so you need to find another way out, i remeber that long time ago when i was repeating the mission in Thief the dark Project, i killed the haunts that are patrolling and the zombies using fire arrows and mines, you know that the door that are sealed with the talismans close by it self if you leave em open, well i grabbed the eye and i noticed that 1 of the door was semi opened, when i checked there was a piece fo one of the zombies body stuckin the door, so i just leave the cathedral for the front door and finished the mission therefor acomplishin the original objetives of the mission.
Well i tried to do that again i placed some zombie corpse in the door tryin to get it stuck but it doesnt work, has anybody saw that this happened ?.

They officially got rid of that known cheat for Thief Gold, so you have to play the whole thing or learn the advanced exploits to get out earlier.:)
Once the community learned they could place a skull to keep the door from closing in Dark Project, it became too common, so it was repaired.

Yup, so basically, get used to Brother Murus.
Although, for humor, you CAN complete all his requirements before ever speaking to him. That's comedy.

Taking the words right out of the Brother's mouth!

I know Azal did it for T2, but has anyone done that sort of thing for T1? It'd be interesting to make an inventory of stackable items available, then see who can best use them to reach the maximum height.
And I remember that skull bug, I'd use it all the time until I installed Gold, then I'd stack zombie corpses and the like, which is the source for this question.

I never had a chance to test it out, but supposedly it was possible to 'keyhole' the armory door and signifigantly shorten completion time.
Search the forums for 'keyholing'.

This reminds me of my faux-goal for Thief's Ten Year Anniversary. Is it possible to bring in all the haunts from RTC to the same area, so that I may duel them all? The hard part I imagine would be getting the ones in the cathedral down the cloister stairs. Any ideas? And how to keep them put while I get the others?
