Actually, you don't need to jump on the hammer at all. Just creep to the very edge and lean forward. Nobody will see you at all.
That's funny, I never even thought of jumping on the hammer. I always lean and grab.
Do you mean to tell me that after all this time, you can just walk right to the edge, lean forward and grab the damn Eye without being seen?!
I did not know that.

Throwing hammer, what throwing hammer? :confused: The hammers that you can pick up and throw do damage. Alot of it.

Yep, it's possible indeed. Strange that the most obvious solution to a problem is often the most unknown one...

There are a few hammers lying around and they serve two purposes:
[SPOILER]1) they do a lot of damage - 1 or 2 hits required to kill a haunt;
2) more importantly the haunts don't come after you if they get hit by one - they just carry on what they were doing, so you can snipe at them in safety
I found it useful against the zombies as well. One hit would normally knock them down and when they got up there was a good chance they'd walk off.

That's very interesting. I will might give it a go when I replay that mission! :thumb:

Actually, I wouldn't recommend it. It makes the mission far too easy because once the haunts have gone there is no challenge.
It ruined the mission for me.

Constantine's sword is handy because it doesn't make you more visible when unsheathed. Against undead it's exactly as effective as the regular sword.
Well, I could disagree on that. I have a dim memory that when playing RTTC on other difficulty than expert a stroke from 'Con-man's sword caused also crimson smoke (quite similar to HauntSmoke). This may have been only in my head, thou... I don't have TDP avaible at the moment to check it out.

Even if this memory were true, it only points toward a difference caused by difficulty level. You have Constantine's sword in both cases.

True. Also, when it comes facing two haunts face to face (wanted to try steal the Eye just walking through the hall) you start to see freaky things anyway...

RTC... not one of my favorite missions... :erg: but i loves me some holy water arrows!! I LOVE MAKING ZOMBIES GO BOOM! Kinda reminds me of the time i went thru and removed the 'VictoryCheck' script in the Mage Towers and also put in a bunch of self lit, illuminated, door-using spiders with the "shrimp" voice. :cheeky: sooo funny! i LOVE having spiders scream shit at you in a cute little voice as they eat you alive! its so funny! :cheeky:
"::in a tiny, squeaky voice:: Get back here and fight!"
