I had the same problem as Yandros (and I also have Daemonite's patch...) but otherwise it was just perfect - atmospheric (hell, it's T1, it's gotta have atmosphere), immersive, and just good fun. Congrats and thanks, Morgan! :) :thumb:

Again, thank you all for the replies. :)
Unfortunate that there's trouble with the skins... I assume Darkloader just doesn't overwrite files that already exist in the folders?

I had much fun playing this mission. In fact, I paid it the highest compliment I could (short of sending money ;) ): I replayed it on Expert to optimize my movements and then played it again in Lytha style (with an attempt to ghost) as a tribute to its balance and immersiveness. I can't even remember the last time I replayed a FM multiple times upon its release.
Very well done. (You really built this from scratch over the holidays? Amazing!)

I am the same about not usually replaying FMs right away, so that really was a big compliment. Thanks!

I can be fast when I put my mind to it. Unfortunately that happens quite rarely. ;)
Morrgan glances at TGG Pt 2 that has been around for more than a couple of years now and sighs.PS: Let it be known that offers of money shall not be refused.

I'm done but was 350 shy of total loot!!!
Plus I've gotta say I was somewhat disappointed that there was nothing in those chandeliers. There was so much made of the dude lighting them all the time that I thought surely one of the keys or something really important would be up there but I spent hours looking and found nada. Otherwise good but extremely tough mission as far as hidden things go (that is if you don't know about the event triggers because I spent an hour at least trying to figure out what else to do without having that engineer's key yet).

The reason for the note about chandelier duty was that he said he could clearly hear everything from the garden when up there, thus making it a hint about what to do in order to listen in on the conversation. Sorry if it was confusing.

Don't feel bad about it. As a fellow FM builder I know that it is absolutely impossible to anticipate every player's thinking and playing responses. It was a good clue, but even good clues won't be picked up by everyone. Not that those who don't pick up on it aren't as clever as those who do. If someone gets stuck, that's what the forums are for.
This was a terrific mission, and I can say I used the forums where I got stuck. It doesn't mean that you as a designer have failed in any way. Heck, the OM developers are professionals, and I used the forums where I got stuck there as well.

Thanks Uncadonego. :) I guess you're right. Still, it would be nice to get everything right, as impossible as that is. ;)

Morrgan!
Glad I saw this thread :D
Jut wanted to say I played this FM a few weeks ago and LOVED it! The flavor and style of solving the mystery was awesome, refreshing and lots of fun. I hope that more of these 'mystery' style missions are made from you and others. Any recommendations?

Thanks, glad you like it! It was certainly fun to make a mystery mission for a change. :)
Hmm, I can't remember any other missions with a similar mystery-solving story right now... But then, I've been too busy to play most of the latest missions (except for the contest ones). Perhaps someone else can recommend some?
