Hello everyone, I was lucky enough to stumble upon the greatness that is the Thief series with TDP in '98 after looking to buy a new game and after seeing this unique looking pkg and the descriptions for TDP, I had to pick it up have played all four games as they were released. In addition, I played Thievery and Thief2X when that was all the rage on this site back in the day, as well as a few FM's for T2.
Well, I haven't been taffing for about 5 years and plan to play the series all over again with the texture patch. I'm currently finding my way back to safety on Assasins on TG, great level. It's amazing how great this game still is after all these years, although it's not like playing the first time through, it is kind of new again and still so immersive.
My question is this. After playing Thief 1-3, what should I do next? Play Thievery and T2x, then go onto the FM's? I know there are close to 1000 FM's but can you guide me into a "top 10" must play FM list for T2? Thanks to TTLG and The Circle many years later and all those taffers that have done so much (and still doing) for the Thief community with your patches and FM's, you made a supurb game better :thumb:.

Welcome back. The Dark Mod, there ya go. On this forum, just a few posts down, discussion about the Dark Mod. Its uses the Doom 3 engine. Thief like, its kick ass to play, lots of fun. Who cares about Thief 4, did you know there was Thief 4 coming out? Ohh sometime in the next millennium.

How about fiddling with Dromed and create your own? That's the best way to immerse yourself into Thief.

That way you can pretty much pick & choose the FMs that you think might interest you the most. If in doubt about a certain FM, you can click on the corresponding link to the TTLG thread to find out more about it. Also, check out the external links provided in that thread. :thumb:

How about just play everything chronologically. Makes you see the progress curve over the decade. :> Forget the TDM, it's crippled. You may play that when you're so fed up with Thief you have nightmares of some specific guard's voiceacting eating your brains out.
