Russel has also an awesome flexible voice: he did Benny and an Hammerite too. And maybe a commoner in Thief - Deadly Shadows

And everybody's favorite: Karras!
No, Karras is not everybody's favorite.

Good lord, frikkin Elmer Fudd. Let's hope they don't reprise that particular voice, or anything like it.
I'd love a reprise of that nut job that talks about killing people though.

It'd be nice to have the Britishness of the first Thief returned (even though Garrett had an American accent). I didn't like those guards with the annoying accents in Thief 2 and the guard...who's voice itself was just simply annoying in Thief 3 (the guard that says something like: "Hmm, maybe if I check in those shadows!")

Since when have there been any british accents in any Thief game?
BrokenArts on 13/5/2009 at 12:54
Who says there won't be now? It wouldn't be a bad thing. Never know what will happen with this team that is so on top of things! Oh man I'm being too cynical. :p

Nicked: Well, I suppose an Englishman could tell us what accent Russell seemed to use as the old Hammerite priest.

There was nothing definitive in his post Mass...
And edit:
@Jtr, didn't Stephen also voice 'Little-Garrett' in the 'Keeper Training' Cutscene of TDP (where Garrett pickpockets the Keeper)? I think that's what Random Taffer was talking about.
Sorry, infinity! I didn't see your post for some reason. The answer is yes.
I keep thinking he could pitch his voice up just slightly to sound somewhat younger, even though the gravel is a little more coarse. Or they could pitch-shift his voice up a semitone in post-production. But really, if they let Garrett age "naturally" under the harsh conditions, it won't seem out of place.
As for his age, there's no canon reason to believe Garrett left the Keepers and went straight to Bafford's. There can be several years in between from leaving the Keepers in his early twenties, until he stood outside the Bafford front gate.

I fully agree. In fact, he says in the briefing video "...I was a kid..." Implying that he's grown up now.

Yeah, and he's clearly established a network and fully-integrated into the criminal underground, though giving allegiance to no one, yet having friends he likes to call "acquaintance" and "associate" to avoid seeming sentimental. He had his eye on Basso's sister "for some time", which implies there was a passage of time leading up to the Bafford job. He clearly has a relationship with Cutty, stating "Good thing you're dying, Cutty, or I'd have to kill you for stiffing me...again." So we have plenty of time in between to guess at.
