If Stephen Russell decides not to return to the world of Thief, it would only be a minor loss. We have the venerable Garras right here on this forum who could easily fill in for him!

Sorry G2d; but Garras' voice doesn't sound anything like Garrett's. I'm not trying to be mean, honest. But Garras needs to practice a lot more and make his voice deeper; just sounding breathless isn't getting it. Slyfoxx pretty much has Garrett's voice down. Very believable imho.
As far as Stephen Russell not returning to do T4 voices, I disagree; it would be a major loss indeed. As far as a lot of us are concerned, when it comes to the world of Thief, S. Russell
IS Garrett! ;)

It would be a huge loss! :nono: And sorry, I don't think Garras sounds like Garrett at all. He does do some other really good voices though. But we do have Sly.

Yeah, they were kind of 'faux' English accents and they worked for not being too forced.
Also, England and America don't exist in the
Thief world. It's kind of nice to be able to recognise both yet not be distracted by particular accents.

I worry about this topic (voice acting) in regards to The Dark Mod. Not that the voices will be bad, just that they will be unfamiliar. At least T3 had a few holdovers. AI conversations, audio clues, random comments, even just whistling and hummming - these sounds really have given Thief it's identity over the years.
So, obviously, I have the same concern for Thief 4. They really need to bring back at least somebody familiar.
