Sure, you can have your simple and centralized society, if you live on a kibbutz with 20 other people. But with any significant complexity to society, that will utterly fall down. What you're missing out is that the
rules ARE simple and centralized... but when you have 6 billion people interacting, complexity results, and that complexity can either be fatalistically ignored by simpletons like yourself and Ron Paul, or it can be managed and optimized.
You know why? because without at least some system for managing and allocating resources, and incentivizing work, "all that thinking for ... science and engineering" never fucking happens. No, we don't need "capitalism" per se, but there needs to be some system, and what has developed is simply the most efficient system available, given real world constraints.
So yeah, in the end, you are operating out of a deep willful ignorance, and it's clear you don't understand what you're dealing with. Maybe that's forgivable, maybe you're still young enough that your idealism hasn't been shattered by, you know, actually understanding one iota about life.
But at the end of the day, you really don't know what you're fucking talking about, and the tropes you are trotting out really are no better than the creationists or the goldbuggers - it's simplistic ideology masquerading as principle.
