Wow, can't imagine how I missed this! Oh wait... yeah I can... because it didn't have "Evil Dead" anywhere in the title. Oh well...
Anyway, horrible crippling single-digit frame rate problems here too. Yes I have the most recent version from Cheap Thief Missions. Yes I have the latest scripts (the 2003 bugfix release). Yes I've tried firing off all my fire arrows. Nothing. Once the frame rate goes to hell, it never comes back, not even at the final sequence with the knights.
It's a maddening tease. Evil Dead II is one of my favorite movies ever, but the stuttering frame rate and constant stream of Garrett quips completely ruins this FM for me.

Yup. I did that on purpose. I didn't want my mission to be called "The Evil Dead mission". Most people probably call it that anyway. Oh well...

Well, I guess I went a bit overboard. But I don't care. I just wanted to try and use them in new situations. Lighten up, sheesh.:cheeky:
Anyway, Sterlino has figured out the cause of the lag. I've uploaded a new version to Thiefmissions. In the meantime, I can send some people the new gamesys (which is the only thing I changed).

have now finally finished this mission, and yeah there it's seems to be a bug near the exagonal stones and beyond, but you can walk it around, somehow the collision detection must have gone bad around them.
I am in the basement and have found only page one and three but can't find page two anywhere in the house. Any suggestions?
TheNightTerror on 23/11/2005 at 09:20
All 3 pages are in the basement. One of them is on the stairs leading into the basement, another in the partially flooded room, by a heap of bones, another on a pipe in the same room. I'm pretty sure 2 is the one on the pipe.
I took this mission for a spin again, and I'm happy to report there was no slowdown in the latest version at thiefmissions.com. :D

Well, I'm unable to find the last remaining 55 loot... and the one in the cabinet above the desk can't be frobbed.

I played this recently, no problems whatsoever. Got all loot, books and objectives. Make sure you have the latest scripts installed.
