What a great mission! I'm completely in awe at all the custom stuff in this, it's like a different game entirely. I gave up on this when it first came out due to the laggy framerate, but now there's no lag at all, it's plays really smoothly.
Having said all that I'm stuck....I've done everything except escape, the way is blocked by treebeasts. How do I get out?
Once you have all the other objectives completed, use the pages and try not to die on impact.:)
Fantastic FM :thumb: . I liked the ending with the
knights.
It would be cool to see them in some FMs.
I had no framerate issues. It was smooth throughout the entire mission.

That's because the framerate problem has been fixed.
I'd love to see an expanded version of this mission. Maybe make the player search the woods for the pages instead of the fruit cellar. Make more extensive use of the custom AIs. Get rid of 90% of the Garrett comments. That sort of thing.

I did consider expanding the woods and spreading the gameplay there.
Then I realised the Dark engine sucks at outdoor environments (or rather that I sucked at making them with Dark).
Not to mention the fact that exploring vast, dark outdoor areas in search of small pieces of paper (which many have trouble finding inside a relatively small and well lit indoor area) would be kind of boring.:bored:
And my custom AI's don't look that swell. Honestly.:o
You are of course more than welcome to creating an Extreme Edition of my mission. :cheeky: I intend to use my Christmas holiday and the 3 months that follow on something entirely different.

Would this follow-on mission include a shrivelled hag who shouts, "I'll swallow your soul!"? Either way I'm looking forward to it.

Ummm... Don.... the creature you describe is in THIS mission.

I've just started this mission, and I must say it's very stylish and atmospheric. New objects not just randomly throwed in, but instead they're in one style and each new object perfectly fits other and environment. When I entered the house I was amazed how unusual (and harmonic and good) the room seemed for a Thief FM. I'd love to get more missions with such fresh look, new ideas and execution. More 19th-early 20th Century missions perhaps, based on some detectives or horror stories... I mean something new and fresh for usual thief environment and gameplay.
Anyway, can somebody transcript what's recorded on the gramophone? I can't make it out.
thanks.

Holy crap. 242 has no idea what this mission is based on.
