Another possibly bug, and a note WRT frame rates:
After I had completed all the objectives except to escape, I had killed that monster in the basement, then tried to escape via the front and rear door. There were NOT locked.
Anyway... I found that I was now getting horrible FPS everywhere, even outside where previously it was smooth as silk. After unloading my last two fire arrows into those tree beasts (and that made sod all difference, they just stood at that window  ), my FPS immediately skyrocketed again. Odd.
I guess these things will happen with an engine like Thief's. FPS troubles aside, this was an excellent, if short, FM. Furniture placement, especially, was very authentic! ;)
The doors not being locked
sounds like a problem with the script TrapMetaProp, which is part of Gaylesaver's scriptpack.
As for
the treebeasts, they're not supposed to do anything but block the window exit.
Hello Troutpack,
Downloaded the revised archive. Certainly a big improvement on frame rates. Still a little slow about 15fps but playable for sure. Got all the effects and thought it was good fun. By the way,
how do you get out of house? The treebeasts are blocking the window and the doors are locked
.
Thank you for pulling the stops out to find an answer to the problems. If you need a beta tester, why, give me a shout. :thumb: :thumb:

Good to know. I guess I'll have to upload that one to Thiefmissions.
You need to use the pages.
I may have to make that a bit clearer, since so many people (especially those who haven't seen the movie) have difficulty with that part.
I had the key of the basement, I found all the pages and I killed the monster down there.
All the objectives are cheked, I should leave the house, but I can't because all the external door are locked.
May I have a little help? Thanks
Sorry I didn't answer before, see post above.
Btw, does the hand come from Blood? :ebil:

The hand in Blood was ripped from Evil Dead 2. It even says: "I'll swallow your soul", which is said by someone in my mission.
GayleSaver's custom scripts located at that Thief-TheCircle link stumped me big time when I first tested the mission during beta. I found out the the latest version of the scripts was actually at (
http://www.thiefmissions.com/scripts/) thiefmissions.com/scripts/.
I'm not really complaining but someone running the circle really needs to update those script files.
Anyways, I just wanted to post & say that I'm glad I was able to help you out Troutpack on such a wonderful mission.

Thanks, Nedan.

I think I know what the source of the bad FPS is - the rocking chair.
I have discovered that if I walk right up to it so it stops rocking, the frame rate shoots back up to normal but as soon as I walk away and it starts rocking again, the frame rate drops to an almost unplayable level.
