:o I saw that building every day for 2 years and went inside it at least 6 times a year and I never realised it was in T2. Oooops.
jtr7 on 18/10/2008 at 07:32
Well...in the T1/Gold and T2 files, but maybe not in-game.;)
I hope to confirm whether it is or isn't, though.
So...probably nothing to be embarrassed about.:thumb:
But that's cool! :cheeky:
This is the object texture:

Thank you so much jtr7 for that reassurance. So good to know I'm not completely barking. :laff:

Thanks for that tip! Also, how might I search an OM to see if it has paint16.bin, or any other object not found in the hierarchy?:)
You can use that script to add mis to the list of extensions. You'll probably have to restart your computer. Then you can use windows' search feature:
Filename: *.mis
Containing text: paint16
You won't get any info about the location though. However if the search returns any results, you can load the mis in Dromed and use the command hilight_by_prop_direct ModelName
A number of objects will be highlighted, and if that painting is there, it'll be one of them.
I used it All Torc, and the object name was WhyIsn'tThisInTheObjectHeirarchyIt'sLovely?

Thank you kindly!:thumb:

Well, nothing came up. I tested it with other terms and the appropriate *.mis files were listed.

wow...I wish Salisbury Cathedral still looked like that today.....now its all built up around it...shame.
I think the spire is crooked....I seem to remember thinking that, as I was going around the ring road, past it, the other day.......and it had scaffolding all over it not long ago too....just some useless info.

i have not seen it in real life, but there is still something familar about it. . . hmmm, thats too bad if it isn't in the game. Actually my favorite thief paintings were the ones done "in house", man that would be something . . . is there anyway the cathedral picture could be in the game and not be picked up in dromed?
jtr7 on 19/10/2008 at 04:52
Nope. DromEd is the program the missions were made in. If you can see it in the mission in-game, you'll see it in DromEd. Conversely, there can be hundreds of things seen in a mission viewed through DromEd that are invisible in-game. Neither the texture nor the object were to be found.:erg:

R Soul and whoever else may help, I've discovered a loophole in the suggested method. Although it's very effective overall (THANKS!), it could not find these in the *.mis files:
The quotes scroll:
M16B66
The three variations linked to "Papyrus (508)" listing Cavador's patrol route:
M15B01
M15B02
M15B03
These are the ones I know of. How might I get these types of linked texts to show up in a search in or out of DromEd?:)
I've been using two to three methods to finally get around to finishing a project for the ETU: verifying which texts are used in-game or not. I've finished with TDP, Gold, and TMA using different search methods, and there are quite a few texts unaccounted for, so I want to make certain before I finalize the checklist.
