Ummm...okay...? I play games because they are F-U-N 'fun'. Gameplay is first and foremost. Graphical & audio shortcomings are acceptable and, IMHO, play second fiddle to story and gameplay. I, myself, am just happy that there is a Gothic game coming out (since 3 was an atrocity) and Piranha Bytes is releasing a pseudo Gothic title, whatever the graphics. I would actually pay full price for a new Gothic game that used the Gothic 1-2 engine and graphics, so long as it retained the aforementioned titles' charm and immersion. I mean, seriously, this site is chock FULL of people still playing and even CREATING games from/based on the Thief and System Shock 2 games. Ask them...they will say they are just as immersive as the day they shipped

ANNNNYYYWAYYY. I can't believe we live in a day and age where the graphics in Risen are considered "bad". Yeah, the animations do suck a bit, but no more or less than they suck in a good 65.7% of other games out right now. I can't really fault it on that alone.

Indeed. I can excuse GRRRR, since English obviously isn't his mother tongue, but Gunsmoke? I expected more from him, TBH.
I don't care about how contemporary the gameplay is or the animations in games, FFS Gunsmoke you know me, I'm not Koki. Otherwise I'd only be playing AAA blockbusters released within the last six months.
