I actually remember him from the Night at the Museum series. Anyway, that sucks :/

Didn't he only have a small role in that film?

Each to their own Kolya - I was only speaking for myself.
So was I of course. And yeah, shame about Williams. I liked Good Morning Vietnam. Well mostly the soundtrack but anyway.

I know, I've should've said flubber right?. It's a shame that someone who made the world laugh was evidently suffering from major depression and couldn't get the help he needed. Tears of a clown an' all that.
It's surprising how common that is among brilliant performers. Carlin had a rather depressing outlook on the world, and he came to terms with it by just regarding himself as a spectator. George Sanders(not a comedian, I know) left a note saying "Dear World, I am leaving because I am bored. I feel I have lived long enough. I am leaving you with your worries in this sweet cesspool. Good luck." Ray Coombs killed himself as well.
As funny as it is to the rest of us, the outlook for the one making the jokes isn't as bright. They are inherently able to see the ridiculous and insane in our world....and while they make light of it on stage there's no doubt the sad state of humanity bothers them in private.

Robin Williams' best film role was also one of his first-- The World According to Garp.

I agree. That was a great film.

I really liked his performances in Hook and Bicentennial Man. Robin Williams is truly one of the greatest comedians of all time!

Good Morning Vietnam, The Fisher King, Awakenings,
His magnum opus for me. And Death to Smoochy.
He is literally the only thing that could have possibly made The Big Lebowski even better.
I have a signed autographed picture from him when I sent a letter to his fan club from one of those scholastic flyers when I was a kid. I'm going to miss him.
