How are the controls on a PC?
I remember I got a game called Second Sight that was a port from something,(maybe Xbox?), and I liked the game because you could use psi powers, however I never finished because the controls were so wonky?
Thanks.

controls are just fine, and remappable. standard WASD deal.

Damnit, my DX 7 graphics card always lets me down. I hate it when games don't have a software mode, as everything else meets the recommended specs.
But then I could run tribes vengence fine even though I didn't meet the minimum specs. Thief3 refused to even try to run though.
Guess I will have to try the demo and see how it goes.

I'll be checking it out soon.
Well, I've seen in around UK shops for ten quid or so; if the Aussies are doing the same, I'd recommend it.
Edit: because there's nothing quite like creeping up behind a Nort and slashing his oxygen tube. :)

Got it today and completed it today (on hard), but don't let that put you off.
It's an EXCELLENT little game with a lot of character and some nice freeform combat.
And popping the oxygen tanks of naughty Norty never gets old :D
It's a very condensed version of the original Rogue Trooper story, but it manages to stay reasonably close to canon.
It could have done with a bit more enemy variety mind; I was on the edge of my seat all the way through the game waiting for the Nort's genetically engineered troops to make an appearance (scary cyborg types with robotic octopus arms and a head in a jar), but it wasn't to be :(
Also, they could have emphasised a bit more just how lethal the Nu Earth environment is. As it stands, you end up with the Traitor General not wearing a breather when he clearly should have been.
As well as that, I always understood that the air was corrosive as well as toxic, so seeing some enemy types with bare skin was a little discouraging.
Other than that, a great game, thoroughly enjoyable.

I never played the original MDK, but I loved MDK2 (never beat the last boss with Max though, damn regeneration). A lot of the fun from that came from the wildly different characters, which I believe the first game did not have. Has anyone here played both? How would you compare the first to the second?

If I remember correctly I was thinking of picking up Rogue Trooper because you could make your character use objects as cover and fire from behind them kind of like the game Kill Switch.
Can anyone tell me if Rogue Trooper plays anything like this?

very much so. you can even "blindfire", which forces your enemies to dive for cover. it's all very smooth and natural feeling. it's great.

Hey, can you hear us back there in 1999?
