Well, I'm also playing "Rogue's Honour" nowadays. I have tried it years before but I ran in circles and gave up. (I didn't want to ask here as I have had asked so much on many missions before and wanted to get the clues by myself but I couldn't and so I have given it up.
Since three days I gave it a second try and I have done a search about it and read very much, so I believe to be able to continue...

Firstly I have thought that it were a type of Holy water due to the fact that the bottle looks like it. However it is something quite different:
Yesterday I've tried it out:
When I drink it all will be darker and the people will not see me. This lasts very long, but then it is getting bright again. The effect is not the same as that from an invinsible potion, the result looks different and it lasts very longer (three minutes, I believe, I've drunk it in the shop and made my way to the mines via the elevator until it was ended up).
I did not know what to do with the stethroscope - when I have used it i heard a sound just like I would eat it. I have believed that it would be something like a always-usingable-fruit, a healing giver. Yesterday I have read that it is usable for another purpose...
In this mission some things are different as they appear!

The stethoscope can be used to open the safe in one of the buildings. You can do it without the stethoscope too, I recall, but it's insanely hard.

But there's no need to but the Night Potion at the shop. If my memory serves me right, you'll find one later in the mission. :devil:

I really like the idea of skipping two objectives by entering the mansion through the window above the front entrance. Downside is, half of those neat technical effects in the mission didn't work with my configuation.

Many years ago I tried "Rogue's honor", but I was running in circles. And because I have had asked so much questions here for I was stuck in many missions I thought, I will try it by myself, but never got it...
Now I have tried to continue some of the old unfinished games, also "Rogue's honor".
I have found out the trick with the eye by myself. Then I have read here that some people have problems with it.
I have found the room with the jumping bone. Can the bone hurt somebody?

I have read every post on this matter and I have bought and used the stethoscope and I still can not open this damned thing.
I am playing on expert and try as I might I can never make the largest dial turn the other two I can get to the spot they need to be.
But nothing will make the biggest dial the one operated by the top two buttons to turn at all.
I know I don't have to open the safe to complete the mission.But I really wanna get full loot and secrets for this mission and that requires opening this cursed safe.
I read all the previous post regarding this and even followed the instructions and could not get the dial to move and thus the safe to open.
Can someone please help me either figure out if something is wrong my copy of the mission,the install or whether I am just doing something wrong and steer me in the right direction.I can't wait to continue on with this fun mission and get all the loot and continue on my journey to play almost every Thief Fan Mission.

Misi I could not finish, still fail to pick up ORB and I repeatedly tried everything and the advice from the TTLG. Otherwise, it's a great mission.:rolleyes:

I was wondering could my problems with the safe be related to having newdark on this install.I really wanna continue my play-through of this mission and fan missions in general.But this safe as caused me to hit a snag, because I am really intent on going for full loot so I really determined to open that damn thing.Any thoughts on this matter and how I might be able to open the safe and fix this problem. Sorry for taking so long to post this but I've been so busy with other stuff that I kept on forgetting about it.
