It's always possible that the problem could be related to the updated Thief. It's quite easy to have 2 Thief installs on your computer. I have one that's patched right up and one that is the older version before the new update was released that I can use to play older missions. I just switch between them with Darkloader or you could use Darkloader with one and the new built-in loader with the other.

I'll do that and see if it works as soon as I get the chance and I'll let you all now if that fixes the problem.

Well its now confirmed the it must be New Dark that bugs out the safe because I just opened it with no problems on my classic install.I even just tried it again on my New Dark install and it still doesn't work because the biggest dial still won't turn and always resets the other two dials.So I guess that now others can be warned to play this FM on non-New Dark installations.This is the first FM to give any problems with New Dark every other single one I did before it I had no problems whatsoever and was able to play it from beginning to end and get full loot. Now that this mystery has been solved I can get back to finishing Rogue's Honor and my journey to play most FM's
