Someone wanna simplify that trick for opening the safe of riches, i'll keep trying but i feel like i'm wasting my life away

The clues are a trick. The only way to open the safe is with the stethescope that you can buy at the shop. :) If you want a more detailed explanation, you can post back or do a search. I'm sure I've explained how to open it before at some time. :)

Im playing Rogue's Honour and I need some help. I have the first and third locks unlocked, but I cant find the key to the middle one. And how do I get the Ankh of Mishra? I can see it, but I cant get it. Can anyone help me out? Please? :cheeky:

You need the
Master's Key
to unlock the center one. It's found
in the Master bedroom, on the carpet at the foot of the bed.
Before you go into the section that these keys unlock, please be aware that there is a bug you may encounter. If you haven't already put out the fire in the furnace downstairs, then you should go do it now. Making sure that is out before venturing into the next section usually seems to make things work properly.
As for getting the Ankh, I won't tell you that yet as the item you need is in the section you haven't been in yet. If you're still stuck afterwards, then post back for help again. :)

Thank you once again Nightwalker. :)

Coincidently, I replayed this one last night and had a few questions based mainly on the many technical innovations. Anyone know the following:
1. Does the fellow in the upstairs hotel room have any loot or is he just another pickpocket target with a key?
2. How much loot is in the warehouse safe? I didn't bother buying the stethoscope (actually I didn't buy any equipment) but given its high price, I was wondering if it results in a net profit or loss.
3. I got the egg but it was hit and miss for escaping the effects of the gravity room. Is there a consistent method for getting out? I think flipped the control lever to lower the egg, stood on floor level just within leaning distance of the main switch, turned off the power, grabbed the egg ASAP, and (with it weighing me down?) crept out of the room.
and finally,
4. In the cutscene, the lazy guard talks about getting the orb but I can't make out the operative final word. He says something like "The secret is to not stand on the _____." It sounds kind of like "heat" which fits the solution in an oblique way.
Thanks!

1)I'm pretty sure there isn't any loot associated with him, just the key.
2)My notes say that there is 800g. total in the safe, so you make money even if you buy the stethescope.
3) As far as I know, that's the only way to get it. :)
4) You heard it correctly. The last word is "heat".

Nightwalker,
As always, I'm indebted to your fund of knowledge. If there ever was a veritable Keeper in these forums, it's you. :)
Back to the "Ruins of Originia" for me!

I dont remember exactly how much, but there is alot of money in the safe. I dont think you can open it without the stethoscope either. I dont know whats with that book. I couldn't make sense of it.

If by the books, you mean the clues about opening the safe, that's all a red herring to throw you off. The only way to open the safe is with the stethescope. :)
