Something is tickling my memory about room brushing and water. About needing to have separate room brushes for water vs. air. That you can't use 1 room brush that spans both. But that you need 2, one for the water and one for the air, otherwise sounds travel where they shouldn't. Is this familiar? Is this right?

You don't need separate room brushes, but if your flow brushes aren't behaving, bear in mind that they work off cells, so you can get more accurate results by splitting changes in water direction using blockable brushes.

Turned out that water was a red herring.
This was a problem with improper use of AmbiantHacked:

Override: 0
Environmental, NoSharpCurve
Schema Name: lava_lp4a
It got stuck on due to my incorrect use of the Environmental flag. NV set me right on that. I should have looked it up in (
http://dromed.whoopdedo.org/index) The Dromesday Book. That really is a great reference.
