Well since we got the other thread on Routine already, I'd like to highlight this post as a fine example of how the gamer mentality changed over the years:
Before: "Oh cool concept, let me know when its actually out and playable"
Now: "Oh cool concept how can I give you money for something that doesn't exist yet?"
I don't think this is entirely accurate or fair, for a couple of reasons. For one thing, pre-orders have been a thing for... pretty much forever, although as a big business they're definitely more dominant now than they were 20 years ago. For another, crowdfunding at least promises more games that are (relatively) free from the influence of lowest-common-denominator thinking of publishers, games that require a certain amount of funding and that wouldn't necessarily be possible in the indie scene. Whether that promise will be upheld or not is to be seen as more of the big crowdfunded titles either deliver or not, but at least the argument is that this makes ambitious titles possible that otherwise would either be compromised by publisher demands or wouldn't see the light of day to begin with, which is a bit more complex than "Oh, please let me throw money at you in the hope that a good game will come of this!"

I'm a huge fan of Thief, System Shock, and Deus Ex, but not really a fan of their fans, per se.
You hate yourself?
At least you're not alone! Lol.
I kid I kid.
You love us all really.

Gotta love that elitist attitude over in GemGaming. You guys are such superstars.
No really, I kid I kid. We're all friends here. Really.

I think it's extremely important that you are made aware that pedantry shouldn't be capitalized.

I just hope it will be at least somewhat similar to my very loved Echo Night Beyond on PS2. The Moon, immersion, exploration, loneliness, fear, and lots of puzzles.

So you aren't automatically writing this off because it's a SurHor not made by Japanese? Glad to see that you've grown up a bit and/or become a bit more rational in your thinking.
