I'd like to see some classic "mansion FMs". Would you recommend me some?

Quite INTERESTING, but maybe 60 of 100 FM's are victorian. Kill me, but I find them boring. Also, I respect, that this is a stlye. But they took too much of fm's world. So, check out nearly any of Christine Schneider's fan missions, or what about Omnious Bequest, Happy new year mr.lambert, The art of thievery (absurdly enormous but fine).

IMO, there's more Mansion FMs about because they're easier to build. Either that or it's a lack of ideas.

Actually I think mansions are the hardest to build because the standard has been set so high (7th crystal, OB)-plus they require lots of detail work to make them look good. A castle or underground catacombs are pretty simple to put together in comparison.

Not all castles are simple, I've yet to fix the complexity issues in this one... :eww:

Just take a Look and Art of Thievery are two good mansion fm's.

Heh... we started to talk about OMs... The Sword was INDEED a good FM, however, when I first played Thief I didn't like it very much, because I found it to be very difficult. Also, I didn't like the idea of growing trees in the mansion itself, I didn't like the idea of turned upside-down rooms. My favourite mansion OMs were the Lord Bafferd manor and Assassin. Yes, Assasin is definitely a classic OM... I do wonder whether there are Assassin-type FMs.
In Thief 2 I remember the mansion in the first mission and the mansion of Truart.
