That janitor looks like he has a massive hard-on, and it looks really upsetting, considering his proximity to those children.
Don't we have a thread dedicated to this stuff?

We have a thread for janitorial pedos?

For the Dreamcatchers we wanted them to represent a particular spirit animal that the player would choose, i.e. Bear representing offensive type players, Fox for stealth, etc.
That's great, but my point was that they don't actually look like dreamcatchers. Real-life dreamcatchers have curved, organic lines. The objects in the concept art you posted have straight, angular lines. They look more like stained glass patterns than dreamcatchers. There is more than sufficient room for variation in (

Would it be at all that difficult to believe?

Really? I'd think the one thing you couldn't have in a dreamcatcher was a curved line. A lot of the pictures in the Google image search depict designs that couldn't exist in real life. Assuming we aren't talking dreamcatcher patterns made from steel wire or something, any curve in a pattern must be made up of multiple straight line segments.
Those patterns he posted are indeed not very well-researched, though. Remember, Adrian, that a dreamcatcher pattern is a result of string tied together at particular points. Any change in direction of a piece of the string must occur either at the frame or at the point of intersection of another piece of string. Every one of your patterns violates this rule, and thus wouldn't be possible in reality.

I'm of the opinion that if the only thing you can find to nit pick are small details, then the overall project must look pretty good :)

I'm offering constructive criticism, not looking for reasons to dislike it.

I said "nit pick", I didn't necessarily mean that people were being negative. I'll rephrase then: when the things which people are offering constructive criticism on are small details, then your project probably looks good overall.
Better?

Thanks faetal! I appreciate that you think the project looks good. We've run into some serious hitches recently and it's good to hear that the overall project looks good. I want to be aware of feedback, but I also don't want to sacrifice our own style and vision for the game. (Not so) suprisingly, both independent publishers and AAA publishers have a hard time backing projects with ambition. Our team is really committed to finishing this game, however, and I want to link this, just in case anyone would like to contribute to getting this game out there:

This is an online donation site we're doing through Square (the smartphone credit card scanner) that is set up to drop money right into a business account for LowLit Studios. All of this money will go straight into tools for the team, and allow us to work that much harder and faster on making a playable demo that we plan to release, and eventually hope to get onto Kickstarter. If you choose to back us, you get different levels of incentives that will let you get closer to our work.
