Alas, no, I had to restart from an earlier save. It always takes a few tried for me to actually cling to the rope in that action sequence (which was really really cool the first time it happened, btw - totally unexpected!). I kept over shooting, or just missing and then falling. That's why I was so quick the time I made it to ALT+S! This time through, though, it worked perfectly and I didn't get stuck in the textures.
I'm in the Guild now - what ARE those mini-spiders? I yelped the first time I saw one, but so far they ignore me just like rats...

If you trap them and they stop moving you can pick them up and carry them around.. Toss them into water is always fun... However, one of the three can shoot you...

Ive done all the objectives but I dont have the mask that is supposed toi be dangerous, where is it , have I missed something?

It is in one of the secret chambers (They are marked on the maps)

First, CLOCK. I know this is probably too late, but you can reach the picture to climb up it. I had a really hard time myself. I was only able to hit the picture if I ran at an angle off the ramp. The way that worked best for me was to position myself left towards the red pillar and adjust my angle until I hit the picture. I hope that helps. :D
Second: I'm stuck at the begining also in those darned water tunnels. Does anyone have a saved game file for that? I've been trying since last night to hit that frickin' rope and I have absolutely NO CONTROL OVER MY MOVEMENT. I've only hit it once and that was when I was traveling backwards and I guess for that reason I didn't attach.
ONE MORE THING:
If I go into the room with the question marks and flip that lever behind the pillar, can I continue the game without missing anything?

you don't need to hit that rope in the water tunnel...
so...

Before getting to it. Swim down and try to walk. Once you are walking the current slows down. If you swim down BEFORE the rope area, you will touch down right behind it. Looking downward (45 degrees) you can actually walk to the rope and step into the "Aired Pit" thus FALL on to the rope. While thrashing around in the current on the rope, climb up....:D

Hello!
Playing Guilded Rivalry on Expert, got the walkthrough, thank you very much :)
I'm stuck, alas:
The walkthrough says to go to the northern part of the valley, find a ledge, and then follow it into the mountain. I have climbed as high as I can get and struggled to get higher to no effect (except to make my boyfriend die laughing at all the gasping sounds Garret makes when trying to climb). How on earth do I find this ledge?
I also am completely unable to get any of the gas arrows, but I'm not all that needy of those at the moment.
