To catch the first rope you basicly *need* a speed potion to help Garrett go to the left to get it, the 2nd one [SPOILER]you dont need to catch, u just fall back down in the water, a switch in the back of a column opens the door[/SPOILER]
AND...[SPOILER]Dont forgot to look for fire arrows in the torches after u get inside[/SPOILER]

[SPOILER]I found that walking on the surface, I could get to the rope without a speed potion. I walked on the bottom or surface until I fell into a cone shaped pit with a fire at the base. The rope was now out of reach, but I managed to get hold of it again by repeatedly jumping and following the rope. Once I was in the water stream (which seems to be on the ceiling) I could climb up to the chambers. Now I've got to figure out how to get up the many ropes hanging here. I see I can climb the red ledges of the framework, but I'm not gripping the many ropes as I jump to them and it looks like there's a gem at the top.[/SPOILER]

I have 2 questions and need some tips. I'm at the end of part 2 Ruins of Originia.
1. The objective states that I need to find 8 of Bantar's artifacts (colored balls), I
found only 6 can't find the other 2.
2. I'm to then return to the flooded eastern way. Where is it??? I'm back at the Guild's
training halls and the door is now blocked down the stairs and I'm looking for the
water to jump in and end the mission.

2. Its in the upper area, thru the teleporter. Its a waterway, theres a ladder there to climb up, then jump in. Note: I believe this is a 1 way trip, so don't explore down the water way unless your ready to end the mission.

I found the East water exit but my last objective (find 8 mystic stones) has not
been completed. I found 6 after the big fight with Bantar's clones near the library with all his books. They are small balls in all different colors.

coreyb: all 8 of the artifacts are there in the same spot, and dont forget the hand, then when ready to leave guild use transporter and then search round where the gods area on the east side will be a room, you'll see a wooden wall with glowin shrooms on top, up there will be the waterway. swim through, mission ends when all objectives done.

[SPOILER]Had to throw coal crystal in that fire closet around the corner from the workshop. Nothing happen so I shot it with a fire arrow, turned around and there layed the black and white mystic stones that I had been searching high and low for.[/SPOILER]

Talk about bummed!:( I managed to grab that blasted rope near the start in the water caves by walking along the bottom of the tunnel just past it (the one that "sux" real hard), using one or two breath potions in the process, only to find out I can't climb it all the way up 'cause it has a bend in it where it enters the water due to the current. I make it to the surface of the water where the rope hangs down but cannot get over to where the rope is straight due to the ludicrously strong current even at the surface up there. Even moving diagonally gets me nowhere in that current!:nono:
How in the cornbread hell did anyone manage to get up in those rooms??!
Edit: Holy cr*p, I just made it up there! And without using breath potions! What I do is immediately turn around after passing the rope and walk along the bottom towards the fire under the water 'til I fall through, sometimes losing one or two health points in the fire, sometimes not (you gotta keep jumping up the slope to avoid it but you catch your breath down there and have a good chance of grabbing the rope as you climb the slope back up towards the water. When I made it to the surface where the rope is hangin' down, I just kept trying to move straight towards the rope and suddenly Garrett grabbed it and zipped right up it.
Somethin' tells me I was extremely lucky he somehow grabbed it.
