To the individual who wrote the walkthrough (I think Yamentha?) I salute you, and I beg you for help!
I'm in mission four, on expert, trying to clear out exhibit 26. The walkthrough says:
I should warn you that there is a Muck Tyrant in there, but he can easily be taken care of with your sword.
Um. How?!
[SPOILER]Dousing the torches doesn't do it - he sees in the dark. He sprays either flaming eyeballs or deadly flies or webs. When I whack with my sword, he's very difficult to hit, and even the time I managed to score five hits I died before he did.[/SPOILER]

Here is how I take them out:
[SPOILER]Fire a fire arrow before it sees you... When making that room and testing it in Dromed, I could never take it out before I get shot a dozen times. I could never get close enough to it to wack it with a sword... I used FIRE arrows and leaned (which will make it see you..)
DRAW FIRE ARROW
LEAN
SHOOT
STOP leaning..
CROSS FINGERS

Yes, I wrote the walkthroughs. It's the first time I've ever written one, so I'm sorry if they were a bit too vague.
I find that if you stick very close to the central support column, you come round the corner right on top of it. It'll never know what hit it.

O.K. So I know I'm going to sound whimpy and stupid but... I never play a mission like Ruins of Orginia or C.L. etc... on anything but normal my first time out. I figure the people that make these missions put a whole lot of time into their work and won't make it that easy to complete. That being said...HELP!!
I'm in mission 4. The mines of Montserrat, I've been into the workshop and found all the things that are listed in the walkthrough EXCEPT the explosive devices. On normal difficulty are they in this room or someplace else? I need to know before I go running around taking out all the mechs in this area. GOD!, I can't go anywhere without them hearing me and tracking me down and killing me! Man these things are smart! Even the Original Thief 2 game I could get past them better than this!

They are absent on normal as they are not needed.

Thanks Yametha! I'm a little red in the face beings I didn't figure out what YcatX's name meant.:o I know this is also a pretty stupid question but:
To get the crown jewels do I just pick the lock on the gate? I didn't even think about that. I tried blowing it with a mine and a fire arrow but that didn't work so I figured I needed heavier explosives.

That's what the explosive charge is for.
Never mind, you don't need to get those jewels on normal difficulty.

Actually, I quite like these walkthroughs because they don't give too much away in the sense of knowing what you'll need to hide from, blackjack, or fight. :)
Gotta new question:
I'm in Ashes to Ashes, playing on expert. I'm in Exhibit 21, the mines, and I can't find the swirly gas thingy that lets you leave! I used up all my mines and fire arrows and finally got the incredibly horribly scary shadow demons killed, only to find that it's a dead end. I found the security area, but I just can't clear it out without getting killed. WAY too many mech beasts and no where to hide.

Actually... Your don't have to kill any of them...
The returning mist is in the power room where you start at...
Objects you need are the Ancient Bucket and the explosive device
(Only on Diff1&2 (hard and expert) )
