Looks great, unfortunately I don't own Dungeon Siege.

I bought Dungeon Siege specifically for this and for Lazarus. Must do better, Ulukai! :p

I missed U5: Lazarus for the same reason. But dang it all, it's been a while since I've played an Ultima, and two quality reconversions sound irresistible. I think I'll just have to get me some Dunegon Siege.

That's me told :D
It's going for next to nothing these days, so I might just do that.

Me too.

I'm tempted, but I almost feel that I should play them in the original first (especially since I am now the owner of the Ultima Collection). Currently playing through xu4 for my Div III - man, this thing is old school. It's, like, the anti-tutorial.

Well, U4 is historically important as one of the first computer RPGs to stray away from the standard hack and slash 'destroy the evil wizard/witch/demonic computer progeny of the two' plot of the time and implement a moral code, one where the player was suddenly responsible for his actions within the gameworld. As in, being a murdering, stealing jerkface actually had repercussions this time around. It changed the dynamics of CRPGs right then and there.

I downloaded it, but I haven't gotten around to doing much more than that. I still need to actually play Lazarus too.
And to think, these two games are ALSO the reason I bought Dungeon Siege.

That's exactly why I'm playing it, Sulphur! And I really appreciate it, but at the same time can't enjoy it for long stretches. The problem is that it's very much an exploration based game (seriously, navigating the thing without using internet-maps and whatnot is a bitch) with a high encounter point. There's a point where I really just want to get to village X and have to go and throw stonoes/arrows at wayyyy too many orcs/skeletons/rogues in the process of getting there. I'm actually going to have to resort to using a walkthrough for some parts, as I simply don't have the time in my schedule it would take to find all the goddamn runes etc. on my lonesome.
That said, I find the music surprisingly pleasant, even if it has all of three tracks.
P.S. I have an extra sealed, boxed copy of Dungeon Siege I won in a contest back when it was new and forgot to give to anyone. If anyone wants it and is willing to pay a few bucks shipping, it's theirs. Though I will be having some sort of larger game giveaway before the summer is out.
