Despite this being an obvious joke I find that a lot of these joke articles/sites have a lot of truth in them. In this one he does mention an awful lot of gaming truths, and namedrops a lot of classics without which you are undoubtedly a poorer gamer.
Remember Old Man Murray's review of Thief 2? "Spiders + crates = kill me now". Oh how we laughed.

Got to love how he says you need to have a high-powered PC... and then shortly afterwards says you need to have at least two XBox Live accounts. Because they're so useful on the PC.
(Most of the other points are equally stupid or plain wrong.)

That article is a gert steaming satchel of auto-fuck.
Inane, polar and pointless.

Well, you'd be surprised how many PC elitists secretly play console games.
Besides, there are some console games that have much the same kind of appeal as many of the classic PC games. The Obvious example is Demon Souls.
Koki on 16/12/2009 at 20:06
Curious. Just which classic PC game Demon's Souls represents in that example?

Let us see here. A solid RPG with lots of stats, focusing mostly on fighting the hell out of super difficult monsters who takes great joy in kicking your ass on an hourly basis. Despite the fact you're not leading a party, and, you know, it's realtime, I could see it appealing to the oldschool Wizardry folks quite a bit.
CCCToad on 17/12/2009 at 01:11
Wasn't really referring to any particular game, it just appeals to the same kind of person who would have enjoyed the long and difficult RPG's that were popular on PC before the last console generation.

Yes, Devil May Cry plays exactly like Wizardry(@Renzatic) and/or Fallout(@CCCT).
And then David wants to ban me. Pssshhh

Right. Because those two games share much more in common. It's so obvious. You move a guy around with an analog stick in 3rd person! It's exactly like Devil May Cry, which is exactly like Metal Gear Solid 4, which is exactly like Jax and Daxter, which is sorta like Anachronox when you come to think about it.
I guess...
superficially...Demon's Soul is sortakinda like Devil May Cry. But in spirit, it has far more in common with oldschool PC RPGs than an action combo beat-em-up.
